Elaine Taussig is a partner in Crowell & Moring’s Chicago office and a member of the firm’s Corporate Group. Elaine has extensive experience representing a broad array of clients—from startups and investors to public companies—in corporate and commercial transactions, public and private securities compliance and offerings, financings, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic relationships and joint ventures. She serves as a strategic advisor for her clients on complex commercial contracting matters and corporate governance issues. She also advises companies in a wide range of industries, including financial services, health care, technology, and SaaS enterprises. Elaine excels at quickly gaining a deep understanding of her clients’ businesses and needs and building long-term relationships with them. As a former general counsel to several companies, including print and digital media, energy, and health care technology corporations, Elaine offers a unique perspective from her experiences as both in-house and outside counsel and possesses an exceptional understanding of how to guide her clients practically through the issues they face.
