Suzanne Pierce focuses her practice in the areas of corporate and business law, intellectual property law, and complex commercial litigation. In her corporate and business practice, Suzanne has advised businesses in a variety of transactions, including acquisitions, entity formation and reorganizations, while also providing guidance on licensing, supply and distribution agreements. She also assists clients with the protection of their intellectual property, including registrations and maintenance with the USPTO, and guiding clients through the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board procedures for contentious IP matters. More recently, Suzanne has also been working on commercial leasing transactions. Suzanne also has a broad range of experience working on high value litigation on both sides of the Atlantic. Her more recent cases have included an international mediation in London, a breach of contract dispute in the Federal court in Washington State, and an intellectual property dispute in the Southern District of New York (Suzanne was admitted into this court in early 2016). Prior to joining CowanPerry, Suzanne worked as a qualified solicitor with Pinsent Masons LLP, a top 20 UK law firm, with offices across the world. She was based in their Belfast office, representing clients’ interests at all stages of the Northern Ireland Court procedure, as well as in alternative dispute resolution, while also assisting in larger cases in London and Edinburgh. Her U.S. experience also includes attending a U.S. college to complete a Certificate in American Business Practice, and completing an internship at Capitol Hill.
