and access,
Binford (“Bin”) Minter practices franchise, distribution and licensing, mergers and acquisitions, municipal law, and general business law, particularly for emerging, growth-focused companies. He also provides litigation and dispute resolution services and represents clients interacting with state and local governments. Bin enjoys representing start-up and growing franchise systems, particularly business clients seeking non-franchised licensing and distribution arrangements, and early-stage businesses seeking to raise capital. His practice includes counseling clients on the best way to format their business—franchise, license, distribution, or other. Bin prepares and files necessary government registrations and disclosures, addresses regulatory concerns and problems for clients, and assists them with resolution of disputes. Bin also counsels entrepreneurs in the purchase and sale of businesses. With a decade and a half of litigation experience in municipal, state, and federal trial and appellate courts, Bin thoroughly understands the costs, risks, and rewards of seeking resolution in courts or through arbitration. In mediation, he strives for collaborative solutions without conceding on his clients’ must-haves or principles. Bin excels at counseling entities who must be flexible and pragmatic in their affairs. Bin has also represented local governments in Georgia as an appointed County Attorney since 2017, and he often represents clients with matters concerning their state and local government.
