John Papachristos is the Head of Cahill's Private Credit practice group and a member of the firm's Banking & Finance and Capital Markets practice groups. John represents leading direct lenders, private credit funds, other institutional investors and investment banks in corporate finance transactions, including leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings and recapitalization transactions. He has extensive experience in structuring and executing traditional first lien, unitranche, stretch senior, second lien and subordinated loan transactions, structured equity investments, including non-traditional preferred stock financings, and equity co-investments, as well as Rule 144A high yield debt offerings and syndicated loan transactions. John received his B.S.F.S from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service (1990) and has practiced at Cahill since his graduation from Brooklyn Law School, where he was the salutatorian of his graduating class and was the Managing Editor of The Brooklyn Law Review (1993-94). He became a partner in 2003 and currently serves as co-chair of the firm's Finance Committee and chair of the firm's Compensation Committee.
