Anna Scully represents businesses, families, and individuals with the process of obtaining legal immigration status for key employees and loved ones. She interacts directly with the client at every stage of the process, from finding the right visa solutions and evaluating the strength of the case to dealing directly with the federal government while a case is under review. She was first introduced to U.S. immigration law while working for United States Senator John Cornyn in his Dallas field office, where she had the opportunity to liaise directly with officials from USCIS, ICE, USCBP, Dept. of Labor, and the State Department to solve problems for businesses and individuals lost in the system. Anna later moved back to her hometown, Mobile Alabama, to handle Burr’s immigration practice, which primarily focuses on Southeastern manufacturers and industry. Because Burr’s clients have a variety of needs, Anna also has extensive experience litigating workers’ compensation claims and industrial accident lawsuits. She also routinely handles inquiries about labor and employment matters, including ADA and FMLA compliance, Title VII discrimination and EEOC investigations, and I-9 / E-Verify compliance.
