Donal Brien practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance law. In the mergers and acquisitions area, Mr. O'Brien has worked on behalf of buyers and sellers in public and private acquisitions and dispositions, leveraged buyouts, corporate restructurings, spin-offs, joint ventures and other strategic alliances. In the area of finance, Mr. O'Brien has counseled financial institutions and borrowers in numerous secured and unsecured lending transactions, including refinancings, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, mortgage loans, receivables financing, loan portfolio acquisitions, and senior and subordinated loan participations. Mr. O’Brien also serves in a senior management role at the firm as a member of the firm's Board of Directors. He also has represented a number of foreign direct investments into the United States with a particular emphasis on investments both to and from the Republic of Ireland.
