Linda Marcus is a partner in the Firm's Special Situations, Credit & Trading Practice group. She advises investment banks, broker-dealers, hedge funds, and other financial institutions on legal issues related to the purchase and sale of domestic and international par and distressed assets, including primary and secondary loans, equity interests, and bankruptcy trade claims. Linda has extensive experience in the review and analysis of credit documentation relating to U.S. and international credit facilities, and is skilled in the preparation and negotiation of primary and secondary LSTA and LMA trading documentation as well as the physical settlement of U.S. loan credit default swap transactions. Linda has advised clients in connection with numerous transactions in bank loans and trade claims of borrowers in a variety of industries including American Tire Distributors, Inc., Mirant Corporation, MGM Holdings Inc., Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Pacific Drilling S.A., Drillships Financing Holding Inc., Gatehouse Media Operating, Inc., J. Crew Group Inc., Reader’s Digest Association, Inc., MXenergy Holdings, Inc., Dex Media, Inc., Consolis Holding SAS, Kaufman & Broad SA, and Dubai World Corporation. Linda is an active participant in the Loan Syndications and Trading Association and serves on its Legal Advisory Committee and Trades Practices and Forms Committee.
