Steven Goldberg, cited by clients in Chambers USA as a “master legal technician”, is the leader of the firm’s national Mergers and Acquisitions team and the Business Leader for the New York office, as well as a member of the firm’s Policy Committee. Steven is widely recognized as one of the leading M&A lawyers in the country. He practices primarily in transactions, private equity, SPACs, joint ventures and strategic investments. For more than 25 years, he has represented both publicly traded and privately held companies in transactional and securities matters in a number of industries. Steven frequently writes about corporate topics and has been cited in various professional periodicals. He has been continually recognized individually and for his practice in The Legal 500 and is also continually ranked in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, where he has been described as an "'extraordinarily bright and hardworking' lawyer who 'is really adroit at realizing our needs and getting to the core of the issue quickly'" (Chambers USA 2015). In 2018, 2019 and 2020, The Legal 500 named him a Top 10 ”Leading Lawyer” in Mergers & Acquisitions. He was also named a “Super Lawyer” in the New York metropolitan region.
