Avi represents clients in all areas of real estate and real estate finance, including acquisitions and dispositions, financings, joint ventures, preferred equity investments, ground leases, workouts and restructurings. He is regularly consulted by funds, real estate sponsors and developers, REITs and other institutional investors in their capacities as lenders, borrowers, investors, and managers. Avi is a creative problem-solver with an extensive track record advising on both standard and out-of-the-box commercial mortgage loans, mezzanine loans and preferred equity investments, often structuring unique and flexible solutions for his clients. He regularly advises clients on structuring, restructuring and managing complex real estate debt & equity investments and investment vehicles across varied property types. Avi also advises on real estate aspects of private equity-backed and other M&A transactions.
