Yu Gao is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, Co-Chief Investment Officer of Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia (MSPEA) and Head of MSPEA's China Investment Operations. Mr. Gao is also Chairman of the RMB Fund Investment Committee. Mr. Gao joined the Firm in 2005 and focuses on the group's private equity transactions in China. Mr. Gao currently serves as a Director of China Feihe, Baijia, AMTD, and Huang Ji Huang. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he worked in Citigroup's Asia-Pacific Investment Banking Division for about five years. He has also worked in Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette's Debt Capital Markets Group in New York. Mr. Gao is a native of China and is based in Hong Kong. Mr. Gao graduated from Stanford University with a master's degree in engineering economic systems and operations research as well as from Tsinghua University with dual bachelor's degrees in engineering and economics.
