Matthew King Bio

Matt joined Morgan Stanley in 2008 and has 24 years of financial industry experience. He is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and the lead portfolio manager for Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s Global Infrastructure Securities platform, having co-founded the strategy in 2010. In addition, he is also a lead portfolio manager for Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s Energy Transition and Innovation Opportunities platform, including the MSINVF Calvert Sustainable Climate Transition Fund launched in 2022. Currently, Matt oversees all aspects of the platforms, including portfolio management, sector and company research, and business development efforts. Previously, Matt worked at Bear Stearns in a variety of roles including investment banking and research, during which time he provided research and analytical support for a number of infrastructure-related financings. Matt received a B.A. in diplomacy and world affairs, magna cum laude, from Occidental College and an MBA with honors from Columbia Business School.
