Mark Bye is an Operating Partner of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners (MSCP) and is based in New York. Mr. Bye joined Morgan Stanley in 2008 and was previously President and CEO of Dystar, GmBH, a specialty chemicals company providing dyes, pigments, and services to the textile, paper and plastics industries. Prior to Dystar, Mr. Bye spent 23 years at Air Products and Chemicals (NYSE: APD) where he held a number of executive positions including Group Vice President of the Gases & Equipment Group, President of Air Products Asia and Vice President/General Manager of the Performance Chemicals Division. Prior to this he spent three years at Union Carbide Corp. Mr. Bye serves on the board of directors for Carus Chemical Corporation, PPC Flexible Packaging, Comar, Ovation Fertility and AWT Labels & Packaging. He was previously on the board of directors of McKechnie Aerospace, Breitenfeld AG, Trinity CO2, Sterling Energy, Comar, M.G. Bryan, XRI and Specialized Desanders, and is active in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Mr. Bye holds a B.S. and an M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
