Jonathan Miller Bio

Jonathan Miller specializes in advising companies, equity sponsors, senior lenders and bondholders on restructuring transactions both in Chapter 11 and out-of-court situations. He has industry expertise in a variety of areas, including general industrials, healthcare, media and communications, consumer, retail, restaurants, trucking, specialty finance and business services. In addition to advising clients on recapitalization and restructuring services, Mr. Miller has extensive experience working with companies and equity sponsors on raising debt capital (leveraged loans, high yield bonds and mezzanine financing) and pursuing merger and acquisition transactions. Mr. Miller also has led engagements analyzing and assisting clients in the development of financial, operating and strategic plans. He also has conducted operational and financial due diligence, implemented cost reduction and liquidity improvement initiatives and prepared valuations and debt capacity analyses. A representative list of Mr. Miller’s client experience includes Blaze Metals & Recycling, Buffets, Caraustar, Chrysler, Classic Party Rentals, CompuCom Systems, Deb Shops, Delphi Automotive, Dial Global, Grede Foundries, Innovative Brands, Jack Cooper, J. Jill, Loehmann’s, Logan’s Roadhouse, Lydell NYC, Nelson Education, Nortek, RoadLink Intermodal & Logistics, Panavision, Sbarro, SVP Worldwide, Things Remembered, Transtar Industries and UCI International. Mr. Miller joined FTI Consulting with its acquisition of CDG Group, where he was a Senior Managing Director. Prior to joining CDG Group, Mr. Miller was a Managing Director and spent more than 10 years in the Leveraged Finance and Financial Restructuring Group at Bear Stearns. He also worked at a publicly traded business development company that provided debt capital to middle market companies on a principal basis. Mr. Miller began his career as an Accountant at Coopers & Lybrand.
