David Benn serves as the Revenue Cycle practice leader within the Healthcare Business Transformation practice. With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Benn specializes in tackling complex revenue cycle issues for a wide range of clients, including national and local healthcare providers, academic medical centers and physician group practices. Additionally, he has partnered with private equity firms to acquire and turn around national providers, such as hospital-based physicians, ambulance companies, home care, institutional pharmacies and physical therapy companies. Mr. Benn has a proven track record in revenue cycle management, having led numerous turnaround projects that achieved net revenue improvements of 3% to 5% and accelerated cash flow by hundreds of millions of dollars from accounts receivable. He has defined operating models for the revenue cycle of several provider clients, which has included policy setting, process improvement, key performance indicators (“KPIs”) and analytics, system strategy, vendor strategies and service-level agreements with vendors and functional areas. Mr. Benn has also led numerous engagements involving overall revenue cycle strategy, design and standardization for both regional and national healthcare systems, central business office (“CBO”) consolidations and shared services for pre-admissions services. Mr. Benn holds a B.S. in finance from Florida State University and a M.H.A in hospital and health administration from Xavier University.
