Bio

Christine Kim specializes in restructuring and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Kim has more than 25 years of experience and has served as an advisor in all aspects of financial and operational restructuring on behalf of companies, lenders and shareholders. She has industry expertise in retail, consumer products, business services, manufacturing, industrial, media and education, among other areas. Ms. Kim has led numerous engagements representing companies and lenders in in-court and out-of-court restructurings including advising on recapitalizations, developing and executing strategic and financial alternatives and business plans, and formulating and implementing cost reduction and liquidity improvement initiatives. A representative list of Ms. Kim’s client experience includes Production Resources Group, VER Technologies, Catalina Marketing, Neiman Marcus, Aerosoles, Charming Charlie, WIS International, Noranda Aluminum, Sequa Corp., B&H Education, Verso Paper, Millennial Brands, Edmentum Inc., RadioShack, Expert Global Solutions, EduK Group, LodgeNet Interactive, TCI College, The Cooper Union, New York City Ballet, Provo Craft & Novelty, RHI Entertainment, Corvest Promotional Products, Sharper Image, Steve & Barry’s, Global Home Products, NABI Autóbuszipari Rt., Loral Space & Communications and IMG Worldwide. Ms. Kim joined FTI Consulting with its acquisition of the CDG Group, where she was a Senior Managing Director. While at CDG, Ms. Kim restructured debt obligations and developed and executed financial and strategic planning initiatives including asset sales, mergers & acquisitions, capital infusions and business transformations. Prior to joining CDG, Ms. Kim was with THLee Putnam Partners, where she originated and executed private equity investment transactions and managed portfolios of investment assets. Before that, she was at GE Capital where she sourced and invested in private equity transactions. Prior to GE Capital, Ms. Kim was with Ernst & Young, providing restructuring and reorganization advisory services to companies and lenders. Ms. Kim began her career at Chase Manhattan Bank’s Mergers & Acquisitions group. Ms. Kim was one of the key contributors to CDG’s International Company of the Year award for the work in NABI Autóbuszipari Rt., awarded by The Institute for Turnaround, a leading European turnaround professional organization. In 2012, she was named an Outstanding Turnaround Professional by Turnarounds & Workouts.
