After completing his ACIB, Nigel spent over 30 years with Natwest, working with SMEs as both a Relationship Manager, and Area Director leading teams across the Counties of Essex & Suffolk. A move to Performance Director for the Midlands & East of England Territory led to a Birmingham base, and the experience of working with seventy plus Relationship Managers, looking after businesses from across that geography, from Lincoln to Hereford, Luton to Southend, with their comparable challenges, plans, and future aspirations. As he travelled around he discovered that the map may change, but the SME needs remained consistent. In 2019, Nigel joined the East Anglia team of HSBC Corporate Banking, which brought larger scale corporate business experience in Essex, spending nearly four years there as Relationship Director, including supporting businesses though the pandemic, with the differing challenges that this entailed. Having known Rob & Sarah for a few years professionally, Nigel joined the Forward team in September 2023 to lead on business development. Married with three grown up children, away from work Nigel can be found either at his second home of Chelsea FC, at car shows resisting another purchase, or in the local pool trying to work off the last business breakfast.
