Bill Sprague is a Managing Director and Head of Capstone Partners’ Infrastructure Finance Group. Prior to Capstone Partners, Bill was previously Chief Executive Officer of Madison Williams and SMH Capital, a full service investment bank. Previously, Bill was the founder of Crest Communications, a middle-market private equity firm. In addition, he was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Mergers and Acquisition Group at Smith Barney. Bill realigned the M&A Department to partner with each of the industry groups which led to a four–fold increase in revenues within 2 years. Bill also chaired the Firm’s Fairness Opinion Committee. He has completed more than 40 M&A transactions during his career, totaling in excess of $7 billion of transaction value.
