Bio

Patrick Manion is a founder and managing partner at AQ Technology Partners. Patrick has spent the last 15+ years advising technology companies on mergers and acquisitions and growth capital private placements. Prior to co-founding AQ Technology Partners, Patrick and his AQ co-founders ran Pagemill Partners, helping grow and integrate the business following its acquisition by Duff & Phelps. Patrick has closed approximately 100 transactions representing billions of dollars in shareholder liquidity. While Patrick’s experience spans a wide spectrum of technology industry segments, his more recent efforts have been on advising leading software companies in their acquisitions by the world’s largest strategic buyers and technology focused private equity funds. Select experience includes transactions with Avaya, Fortinet, Groupon, IBM, IHS, Imperva, Informatica, Instacart, Intel, Logitech, Microsoft, OpenText, Oracle, Salesforce.com, SAP, Solarwinds, Teradata, and Time. Select experience with private equity funds include transactions with Accel-KKR, Aurora Capital, Carlyle, Lake Capital, LLR, Platinum Equity, Providence, Riverwood Capital, Rubicon Technology Partners, Shamrock Capital, Thoma Bravo, and Vista Equity Partners. Earlier in his career Patrick was initially exposed to the world of strategic M&A while a senior associate at Standard & Poor’s in their corporate valuation consulting group where he performed valuations for technology companies ranging from small, privately-held businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. Patrick holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
