Shiwali Varshney Tenner is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Chicago. With more than 19 years of experience, Ms. Tenner advises leaders and owners of companies in all stages of their life-cycle, from start-ups to mature organizations. She specializes in quickly identifying growth drivers of the future as well as building and re-organizing companies and their processes around the growth drivers to produce quick, meaningful and sustainable change. Most recently, Ms. Tenner led the integration of an over $3 billion global company. She assisted in developing the operating model best suited for the complexity of the company, while delivering on synergy targets. Additionally, she led the effort to reorganize several functions to develop high-functioning, agile, customer-centric and data-driven organization. Previously, Ms. Tenner assisted in identifying $20 million cost savings at a multi-million-dollar power tools manufacturer. The team reviewed the product line profitability and identified product line rationalization opportunities; aligned logistics and distribution teams; identified the inside sales model to serve the long-tail customers; and refocused new product development to identify cost savings opportunities. Before that, Ms. Tenner assisted a multi-billion-dollar food ingredient company with a post-acquisition merger. She recommended the organization structure preserved the competitive advantages of both companies and reduced people cost by 10% by optimizing cost to serve. Ms. Tenner earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business.
