Roland Dargel Bio

Roland Dargel is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal's European Transaction Advisory Group in Munich. He brings more than 11 years of transaction experience and has provided both buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services to private equity and corporate clients. His experience ranges from transactions involving lower-market and middle-market acquisition targets to multibillion dollar complex cross border projects. Mr. Dargel has led or participated in over 100 transactions and served clients across a range of industries including automotive, retail and consumer products, software, diversified industrial products and real estate. During his long-term secondment in New York, he gained experience in advising U.S. based private equity and strategic clients. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Dargel spent seven years with Ernst & Young Transaction Advisory Services, where he most recently served as Manager. He advised German mid-cap private equity as well as international private equity funds and global strategic investors. In this position, he gained deep accounting skills (German GAAP and International GAAP) prior to focusing on transactions. Mr. Dargel earned a master’s degree (Diplom-Kaufmann) in business administration (focus on financial accounting and auditing, tax and corporate finance) from the University of Regensburg. He qualified as a certified tax advisor (Steuerberater) and Chartered Accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer).
