Mark Bargouti Bio

Mark Bargouti is Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Miami. With nearly two decades of experience in finance and accounting, he brings a range of leadership skills, strategic agility, and ability to navigate complex financial landscapes. Mr. Bargouti’s background in private equity and Big Four consulting along with his operator experience lets him comprehend investor requirements and effectively translate them into actionable initiatives across various functional units. Mr. Bargouti has worked on budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, technical accounting, and strategic decision-making, all underpinned by a holistic cross-functional mindset. He uses a hands-on approach to drive impactful and sustainable results throughout the finance function, leading teams through periods of financial, strategic, and personal transformation. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bargouti was a Partner and Deputy CFO at a global asset manager in Miami, where he oversaw FP&A, accounting, reporting, and shared services. He achieved a 40 percent reduction in OPEX and reduced run rate by ~$100 million. Mr. Bargouti also spearheaded corporate-wide strategic initiatives, including personnel decisions, offshoring, and automation projects including KPI tracking for 70+ portfolio companies ($60 billion AUM). Previously, Mr. Bargouti worked with KPMG as Director of Deal Advisory in New York. He provided crucial transactional support services to Fortune 500 companies across diverse industries and simplified accounting complexities in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and IPOs. Prior to this, Mr. Bargouti was Director of Accounting and Finance at Ralph Lauren, where he managed accounting and finance functions for an entire reportable segment, overseeing 200+ customer contracts with annual sales of $1.5 billion. Mr. Bargouti earned a BBA (accounting concentration) from the University of Washington. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York and California (inactive).
