Klaus Weisenberger Bio

Klaus Weisenberger is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in San Francisco. He advises clients on operational due diligence, post-merger integration, carve-outs, asset optimization and operational excellence and has led enterprise-wide initiatives that delivered high-impact EBITDA results. With more than 30 years of industrial and consulting experience, Dr. Weisenberger has worked across a range of industries, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, manufacturing, engineering and logistics. He has also supported buy-side deal flows across North America, Asia and Europe. Additionally, Dr. Weisenberger has managed operational and financial improvement initiatives in sales force effectiveness and revenue enhancements, organizational performance improvement, synergy analysis, sales, general and administrative optimization, manufacturing footprint rationalization, supply chain management and margin improvements. Prior to joining A&M, Dr. Weisenberger served as Operations Vice President with Hitachi Consulting’s Chemical and Life Sciences practices, where he focused on operational due diligences, post-merger integration, revenue and cost of goods sold improvements, lean process implementation, industry sector analyses and quality and compliance improvements. Previously, Dr. Weisenberger served as Vice President of Engineering with Bayer’s Biotechnology business unit and was responsible for technology, engineering, investment planning and strategy for North America and Europe. Before that, he served with Bayer Materials Science’s organization in the areas of polyurethane, polyol and chloralkali manufacturing, where he managed operations, supply chain, engineering and project management. Dr. Weisenberger earned a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Cambridge.
