Kevin Cunha Bio

Kevin Cunha is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory Group in San Francisco. He specializes in providing buy- and sell-side financial due diligence to private equity funds and their portfolio companies as well as strategic buyers and sellers. Mr. Cunha brings more than eight years of experience performing financial due diligence in support of buyouts, carve-outs, minority investments and cross-border transactions and focuses exclusively in the software and technology industry. Mr. Cunha advises clients on a range of transaction-related matters, which primarily include: analysis of recurring EBITDA and cash flow; evaluation of revenue quality and other business-related KPIs; assessment of enterprise value; identification of value drivers and deal breakers; construction of carve-out financial statements and assessment of standalone costs; net working capital and capex requirements; and review of purchase agreements. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Cunha was a manager in Deloitte’s M&A Transaction Services practice, where he advised private equity and strategic buyers in buy- and sell-side due diligence and other consulting engagements. Previous to that, he spent three years in Deloitte’s audit practice where he primarily served on one large multi-national public company audit. Mr. Cunha earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Santa Clara University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of California and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
