Jimmy Zhou Bio

Jimmy Zhou is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Transaction Advisory Group in Shanghai. He brings more than 12 years of experience in financial due diligence and auditing. Mr. Zhou specializes in providing financial due diligence services on buy- and sell-side for private equity firms, corporate strategic investors, and state-owned enterprises (SOEs). Mr. Zhou has in-depth knowledge of both U.S. and Chinese generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and international finance reporting standards (IFRS). He has worked on projects in various industries, including technology, consumer products and retailing, manufacturing, and healthcare. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Zhou spent more than seven years with EY Shanghai's Transaction Diligence team. Previously, he worked with PwC Shanghai for four years doing audits. Mr. Zhou earned a bachelor’s degree in international accounting from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He is a member of both the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
