Jai Tandan is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transactions Advisory Group in Mumbai. He specializes in financial due diligence on both the buy- and sell-side, with a focus on quality of earnings, working capital and debt-like adjustments. With more than 17 years of due diligence and assurance experience, Mr. Tandan has been involved in more than 200 data rooms, full-access due diligence, carve-outs, and sales and purchase agreements (SPA). He has provided transaction services to marquee PE clients in India including QIA, AresSSG, Bain Capital, Blackstone India, KKR & CO., Warburg Pincus, Apax Partners, Advent International, TPG Capital, GIC, Temasek, Goldman Sachs Premji International, ChrysCapital and others. Mr. Tandan has also provided services to corporates including ArcelorMittal/Nippon India, Aditya Birla, Reliance Group, Tata Group, Piramal, Bridgestone, Elgi, Zee group and TVS Motor Company. His 30+ sell-side due diligence engagements have been in technology, consumer durables, non-banking financial companies (NBFC), broadcasting and media, wealth management, sports agencies, industrial and mining, retail salons and auto components. Mr. Tandan earned a bachelor's degree in commerce and accounting from Sydenham College Commerce and Economics in Mumbai. He is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
