Irene Signorino is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement practice in Los Angeles. She is part of A&M’s Software, Technology & Services (STS) industry group. Ms. Signorino concentrates on M&A deal advisory, specifically on commercial and operational due diligence, integration and separation execution, go-to-market and manufacturing operations. Ms. Signorino brings more than 25 years of experience working with technology, semiconductor and electronic materials industry leaders in senior roles. Her notable engagements include leading complex multibillion-dollar separations and integrations in the technology industry; building and leading teams that defined and developed the strategy to enter new B2B market; and identifying and implementing cost reductions, process optimization, and performance improvement projects with a focus on operations, supply chain, and customer profitability. Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Signorino worked on M&A advisory with KPMG. Previously, she led the strategy function of a €1 billion division, spearheading the group’s reorganization. Prior to that Ms. Signorino worked in product and business management with P&L responsibilities for product lines in various markets, including automotive, consumer, lighting and solar. She began her career in strategic operations, developing cost and manufacturing capacity models for wafer fabs that more than tripled output during her tenure. Ms. Signorino earned a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from Politecnico di Milano in Italy, a master’s degree in material science and engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in Los Angeles. She has lived and worked in the EU, the U.S. and APAC. Ms. Signorino has published multiple research papers and given speeches on the semiconductor industry.
