Clifford Hall is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement Group in New York. With more than 25 years of experience in management, board advisory, operational, and functional roles in the Americas, Europe and Asia, he leads the U.S. Commercial Excellence service line. Mr. Hall’s career is defined by his ability to combine strategic vision with implementation to drive results. In addition to his interim management and board advisory positions for private equity clients, he focuses on commercial excellence, cost optimization, revenue and margin management, customer and channel optimization, and operations performance improvement. Mr. Hall has worked with clients in various industries, including manufacturing, industrial, business services and consumer enterprises, coaching boards of directors, portfolio company management professionals and their teams to measurably impact financial performance. Mr. Hall’s recent engagements include serving as Chief Transformation Officer for a $3 billion manufacturing company and a $500 million printing company. At a $2 billion distribution company, Mr. Hall supported the chairman, board of directors and CEO in driving a significant corporate, financial and operational transformation, resulting in a top quartile exit for the sponsor. Previously, as Chief Operating Officer for a $350 million oil and gas company, Mr. Hall drove a corporate, product and operational transformation that led to the successful recapitalization of the company. Prior to that, Mr. Hall was interim President for a private equity owned strategic buyer for a sports equipment company, managing the diligence, synergy assessment and implementation process. During his tenure, revenue increased by 42 percent and EBITDA by 84 percent. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hall served as Chief Operating Officer at Timex Group and as Chief Marketing Officer for Trane Industrial. Mr. Hall earned an MBA from Loyola University, Maryland.
