Tim Keneally is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Services in Chicago. He serves with the A&M Rapid Results Program™, where he is responsible for supply chain issues, including manufacturing, procurement, and distribution and logistics (D&L). With more than 22 years of consulting and industry experience, Mr. Keneally has significant expertise leading cross-functional initiatives that deliver corporate objectives and bottom-line results in supply chain management, supplier relationship management and lean manufacturing process areas. He has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, medical device and pharmaceutical, paper and packaging, retail and consumer products, energy and automotive segments. Mr. Keneally has held multiple interim management roles, including COO, VP-GM, VP of Operations and Plant Manager. His experience includes manufacturing and distribution footprint rationalization, developing lean manufacturing operating models, demand and supply planning, collaborative supply chain strategies, outsourcing strategy development, component material lead time reductions, inventory optimization, manufacturing efficiency improvement, freight optimization, and the selection and implementation of supporting ERP and supply chain IT systems. Mr. Keneally’s notable engagements at A&M include serving as the Interim COO for a private equity owned $300 million automotive fuel pump and filter supplier, leading operational turnaround efforts related to footprint rationalization, precision machining, assembly, and shop floor quality and throughput. He successfully reduced the backlog from $16 million to $2.6 million, improved on-time delivery from 25 percent to 92 percent, improved EBITDA from 12.7 percent to 17.7 percent, and reduced scrap from 4 percent of COGS to 1.7 percent. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Keneally was a Manager in the Manufacturing Industry Group at Capgemini Consulting, leading engagements in the paper and packaging, textiles, diversified manufacturing and automotive industries. Mr. Keneally earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and systems engineering from the United States Military Academy and an MBA in supply chain management and finance from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University.
