Rhett Taylor is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory Group in Nashville. He specializes in buy- and sell-side financial due diligence projects, including assessing quality of earnings and GAAP accounting requirements. Mr. Taylor focuses on healthcare transactions and has extensive experience in the sector, including physician practices, hospice providers, home health companies, dental services organizations, durable medical equipment companies, acute care facilities, and behavioral health providers. With more than 10 years of due diligence experience, Mr. Taylor has participated in or led 200+ projects, with valuations from $10 million to over $1 billion. He has supported clients across the entire investment lifecycle, including initial portfolio company acquisitions, add-on and tuck-in target acquisitions, recapitalizations, and, finally, sell-side divestitures. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Taylor worked at Ernst & Young as an auditor in their assurance services group in Nashville. Previously, Mr. Taylor worked in India with the International Justice Mission (an anti-human trafficking organization) and Growing Opportunity Finance (a micro finance organization). Mr. Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) in economics, history, and religious studies from Vanderbilt University. He earned a master’s degree in accountancy from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management, finishing first in his class with a 4.0 GPA. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Tennessee, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Tennessee State Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), and Leadership Health Care (LHC).
