Raphael Frydman is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Group in New York. With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Frydman serves as PEPI’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing the day-to-day financial management and operations of the U.S. team. As CFO, Mr. Frydman manages the weekly and monthly reporting of KPI’s for the team and the yearly budgeting and forecasting process. He provides guidance on individual project profitability while also managing the larger P&L spend for the group. Mr. Frydman serves on the compensation committee that reviews compensation for staff and Managing Directors. As COO, his responsibilities include staff scheduling, tracking, onboarding and all forms of resource management. Prior to this role, Mr. Frydman was part of Alvarez & Marsal’s inaugural corporate financial planning and analysis group. He established standardized reports, budgets, and metrics for many of the business units within the firm. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Frydman spent six years at a large financial institution working in various FP&A roles supporting the U.S. and Latin America regions. Mr. Frydman earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business.
