Bio

Mark Neibart is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Services in New York. He leads the firm’s Information Technology Due Diligence service offering to private equity clients, which encompasses buy-side, sell-side, and product diligence. In addition, he has extensive experience in IT strategic planning, ERP selection and implementation, contract negotiation, project management and post-close integration. Mr. Neibart brings more than 25 years of consulting experience. He has worked with targets and portfolio companies across a range of industries, including numerous technology, business and professional service, healthcare and manufacturing companies. Most recently, Mr. Neibart was responsible for buy-side diligence of an asset-light transportation services provider. The target faced a potential need to significantly invest in upgrading its core transportation management and freight tracking systems. The due diligence work focused on evaluating the necessity of this investment. Another recent project entailed the preparation of a sell-side diligence report for a software development firm that had experienced financial distress. The due diligence work focused on the development of an IT cost takeout plan to present to potential acquirers. A recent product diligence involved the evaluation of a SaaS vendor in the Association and Membership Management space. Diligence focused on an assessment of features and functions versus competitive products, technology architecture, software development lifecycle, customer support processes and organizational resources. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Neibart founded and spent ten years managing Camber Advisors, a boutique consulting firm providing IT services to private equity investors. Previously, Mr. Neibart spent twelve years with Deloitte, providing both corporate and private equity clients with IT assessment and ERP implementation services. Mr. Neibart earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in business administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
