Bio

Louis De Olden is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in New York. With more than 25 years of consulting experience serving private equity and Fortune 500 clients, Mr. De Olden helps B2B organizations improve their commercial effectiveness and achieve enduring profitable growth. He has served clients within technology, media and telecom, industrial products and business services to realign their go-to-market models and create more scalable commercial organizations. Additionally, Mr. De Olden has extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions engagements across the deal lifecycle, including diligence, execution and performance improvement to help clients uncover value and drive higher returns from their commercial organizations. His primary areas of concentration are go-to-market model design, sales effectiveness, channel optimization, pricing and profitability management, marketing effectiveness, commercial organizational design, metrics and performance management. Mr. De Olden’s experience includes leading growth transformation programs, helping clients build or adapt foundational commercial capabilities including go-to-market design, renewals excellence and commercial optimization. Additionally, he has extensive experience working with organizations to better define commercial metrics and leverage commercial analytics to drive higher revenue and return on sales. His work with private equity clients has focused on identifying the value of optimizing commercial organizations and working with high growth technology companies to improve the effectiveness of their sales, marketing and customer success organizations. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. De Olden served as Senior Director with AlixPartners’ Revenue Growth group and led the Sales Effectiveness practice. Additionally, Mr. De Olden spent 14 years with Deloitte’s Customer and Market Strategy practice and has served clients in the U.S., Europe and Latin America. Mr. De Olden earned a BBA from Babson College and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
