Bio

Eric Lorge is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in Chicago. With more than 20 years of mergers and acquisitions experience, he leads cross-functional due diligence engagements for private equity investors. Mr. Lorge focuses on determining acquisition targets' earnings quality and working capital requirements through analyzing financial statements and working with C-level management to affect purchase price negotiations. He identifies key business drivers and trends to determine earnings sustainability and growth potential of acquisition targets and ensures that acquisition and financing agreements reflect the proper deal structure and coincide with financial due diligence findings. He has extensive experience evaluating investor and management forecast models, performing synergy/cost savings determination analyses and completing carve-out and standalone assessments. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Lorge was a director of transaction services with KPMG in Chicago, where he led financial due diligence projects for private equity investors. Previously, he worked with the transaction advisory services practice of Arthur Andersen, and prior to that was with their audit and business advisory services practice, performing audit engagements for public and private high-growth companies. He also worked as a senior financial analyst with a publicly traded specialty retail company. Mr. Lorge earned a bachelor's degree (cum laude) in business administration from the University of Notre Dame. He serves on the board of directors of Namaste Charter School on Chicago's south side.
