Eric Brousseau is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal's Global Transaction Advisory Group in Chicago. He specializes in global mergers and acquisitions due diligence, focusing on evaluating environmental, health and safety, social and governance (EHS/ESG) risks and opportunities. Mr. Brousseau's main areas of concentration include project strategy, coordination, management and execution with an emphasis on financial institutions, Fortune 500 companies, investment banks and transaction orientated attorneys. With more than 25 years of advisory experience, Mr. Brousseau has participated in the successful close of thousands of transactions across a range of industries and geographies. He brings significant experience conducting EHS and ESG risk and opportunity assessments, completing operational compliance audits, crafting risk management and mitigation frameworks, providing transaction closing support and developing post-merger integration and growth strategies. Additionally, Mr. Brousseau specializes in quickly bringing certainty to complex technical issues by objectively evaluating, prioritizing and estimating EHS and ESG liabilities and translating findings into non-technical business terms, understandable risk analyses and workable solutions. He has also been successful in unlocking hidden value and boosting investment returns by reducing and eliminating environmental operating costs. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Brousseau served as Managing Principal at SLR International, where he was responsible for starting and growing the firm’s midwest presence. Before that, he led the Transaction Advisory Practices at various multinational environmental firms, including RPS Group and Arcadis. Mr. Brousseau earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science (concentration in business administration) from St. Norbert College.
