Mr. Fitzgibbon also supported their human rights saliency assessment process and helped develop an enhanced social investment framework. Previously, Mr. Fitzgibbon held leadership roles in corporate, functional, operations and R&D with British American Tobacco, where he worked across the entire value chain, building critical organizational capabilities to manage ESG risk. As Global Head of R&D Manufacturing, Mr. Fitzgibbon led the transformation of new category product development capabilities. Mr. Fitzgibbon earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Limerick, a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Queens University Belfast, a master’s degree in international security and global governance (focus on environmental induced conflict and multilateral environmental agreements) from Birkbeck College, University of London and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management
