Dean Kepraios is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Houston. He specializes in human capital and mergers and acquisitions across all phases of the transaction and transaction types. With more than 30 years of consulting experience, Mr. Kepraios has focused on human resources due diligence, integration and separation planning and post-close implementation, including “at the table” management support in union negotiations. Recently, Mr. Kepraios supported his client’s integration of 20,000 employees across 55 countries, including 15 that were new countries of operation for his client, in six months with no transaction services agreement for the HR function. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kepraios served as Senior Director and North America Co-Leader of Mergers & Acquisitions with Willis Towers Watson, where he worked with clients across a range of industries, including airlines, automotive supply, energy, engineering and construction, food, beverage and tobacco, health systems, manufacturing, mining and exploration, professional services, specialty chemicals and technology. Mr. Kepraios has written or co-written several articles on a range of issues, including environmental, social and governance in M&A, the importance of job mapping in M&A transactions, and the theory and application of total rewards comparability provision. He has also presented and trained on HR M&A issues for the M&A Leadership Council. Mr. Kepraios earned a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA in strategy (honors) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
