Daniel DenBoer is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Scottsdale, and co-leads the firm’s Software, Technology & Services practice. With more than 25 years of consulting experience, Mr. DenBoer has executed transformations across public companies and private equity portfolio companies. He has led due diligence for more than 100 transactions across the technology, media and services sectors. Mr. DenBoer’s notable engagements include executing the merger and value creation initiatives for an enterprise software business and the buy-side on the behalf of private equity buyers, which increased valuation from $600 million to $9 billion via the integration of 23 acquisitions. He has executed the successful take private of public companies by supporting the due diligence and value creation for private equity funds. Mr. DenBoer has also executed transformations at multiple portfolio companies across numerous sectors in a non-transaction setting. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. DenBoer served as the National Advisory leader for KPMG’s private equity channel and as Senior Partner in the firm’s TMT Strategy Practice. Before that, he was responsible for building and leading the firm’s offerings for M&A due diligence, integration and separation and value creation. Previously, he served as Director on AlixPartners’ Enterprise Improvement team. Mr. DenBoer earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and management information systems from Indiana University and an MBA from the Grainger School of Business at the University of Wisconsin. He is a non-active CPA in the State of Illinois.
