Bertrand de Robien is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Global Transaction Advisory Group in Stockholm. He specialises in financial due diligence for private equity and corporate clients. Mr. de Robien has significant experience in infrastructure deals, including energy/utilities assets, transport and digital infrastructure, as well as multiple deals in software and IT services, industrial manufacturing, business services and retail. He brings more than 16 years of transaction advisory experience, working with Nordic private equity firms such as EQT, CapMan, Alder, Accent Equity Partners and infrastructure funds such as EQT Infrastructure, Vauban, Arjun, Basalt, and Arcus and with large Nordic corporate clients such as Sandvik, SSAB, Hexatronic, Securitas Direct, Solör Bioenergi and Lantmännen, Mr. de Robien’s recent engagements include managing buy-side financial due diligence on the acquisition of Rochester Cable on behalf of Hexatronic; buy-side financial due diligence on the acquisition of Nordic Renewable Powers on behalf of Vauban Infrastructure Partners; buy-side financial due diligence on the acquisition of NVBS on behalf of Ratos; buy-side financial due diligence on the acquisition of Opus Bilprovning, on behalf of Arcus Infrastructure; and buy-side financial due diligence on the acquisition of Nobina, on behalf of Basalt. Previously, Mr. de Robien provided a financial vendor assist on the divestment of Hector Rail on behalf of EQT Infrastructure; buy-side financial due diligence on the acquisition of Diana Food natural color business on behalf of EQT-owned Oterra (carve-out); buy-side financial due diligence on the acquisition of Boreal group on behalf of Vauban Infrastructure Partners; and buy-side financial due diligence on CapMan’s acquisition of MM Sports. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Robien spent 11 years with PwC, serving most recently as Director. He developed expertise within the energy/infrastructure sector, leading international and complex due diligence assignments and overseeing the French desk that served both Nordic and French clients. He also spent five years as a Financial Auditor with Ernst & Young in Paris where he worked with large listed corporate clients such as Total, Vivendi and Veolia. Mr. de Robien earned two French bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance (DESCG and DCG), a master’s degree in economics from HEC Paris, and a master’s degree in political sciences at IEP Paris (Science Po).
