Bio

Ben Taylor is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal in Atlanta. With more than 18 years of operating and consulting experience, he focuses on operations strategy, integrated supply chain operations, new product introduction and process improvement execution. Mr. Taylor has worked in a wide variety of industries, including retail, express delivery and logistics, paper, aerospace, automotive and industrial products. He has held roles in interim management and led cross-functional, multi-continent teams delivering sourcing strategies, supply chain redesign and optimization, and cost reduction strategies. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Taylor was the Principal of Harbour Pointe Group, a boutique hands-on consulting firm focused on development and execution of business expansion, revenue enhancement and supply chain cost reduction strategies. Earlier, he was the president of a paper converting company, and held executive and senior roles in strategy, marketing and operations at UPS Supply Chain Solutions and Industriaplex. He started his career as an officer in the U.S. Navy in the nuclear power submarine force and is currently a Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Mr. Taylor earned a bachelor of science degree in physics from The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. and a master's degree in business administration from Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta. He also has graduate level training in Nuclear Engineer from the U.S. Navy and holds certificates in Strategy & Policy and National Security Decision Making from the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, RI. He was recently honored with the 2012 Transaction of the Year award by the Turnaround Management Association for his work with Aquilex Holdings, LLC.
