Ben Hope is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Los Angeles. He brings more than 20 years of deep media and entertainment industry experience. including television, content production, global distribution, and theme parks operations. Mr. Hope leverages his diverse operator background to lead A&M teams that provide value-added services in finance and technology. Mr. Hope has served as the interim CFO for a Hollywood creative agency, a customized automobile manufacturer, and a global agricultural grower/distributor, responsible for finance, accounting, treasury and tax functions, as well as working capital management and management reporting. As an advisor to executive leadership teams, Mr. Hope has led profit improvement projects including overhead cost reduction, strategic planning, sourcing negotiations, and operational process improvements. He has also facilitated the upgrade, consolidation and deployment of ERP and other business platforms, led an internal technology assessment for a global technology outsourcer, and provided subject matter expertise on media and entertainment business processes and system for several global media companies. Mr. Hope also has extensive experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, performing pre-merger due diligence, and handling post-merger integration activities including design and execution of technology integration strategies, application portfolio consolidation, organization redesign, and rationalization of redundant business processes. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hope held executive leadership positions across multiple functions at NBCU and the Fox Networks Group, including finance, sales, operations and information technology. As a division CIO for NBCU and Fox, he developed and executed global technology strategies to transform business processes, automate workflows, and manage solution portfolios. Mr. Hope led transformation initiatives, implementing and upgrading ERP platforms, developing data and analytic platforms, migrating legacy platforms to the cloud, establishing an integrated cross-platform sales ecosystem, and designing and developing multiple business systems. Mr. Hope earned a bachelor’s degree in public accounting from Pace University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He earned his CPA in the State of New York and is a certified Master Blackbelt of Quality.
