Ashley Henning is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement group in Tampa. He specializes in the leadership and management of strategic, transformational and mission-critical initiatives for private equity investors and their portfolio companies. Mr. Henning brings deep industry experience in pre- and post-acquisition diligence, planning and execution for start-ups, high-growth enterprises, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. A technology leader with more than 18 years of management and overall experience, Mr. Henning’s core areas of expertise include enterprise application architecture, software engineering and deployment, software development life cycle, agile methodologies, M&A due diligence and implementation, SaaS products, program and product management, strategic planning and tactical execution, offshore and near-shore outsourcing, cross-functional team leadership, international growth and expansion, estimating and budgeting, startup and high-growth organizations, and public and private equity operating models. Mr. Henning specializes in the design, development and implementation of customer-focused business solutions and digital SaaS products. Mr. Henning has worked effectively across multiple teams and departments within an organization to determine business needs and develop scalable and highly available products and technology solutions. He has proven results in establishing growth and innovation within engineering and product organizations overseeing the full project life cycle, from design and architecture to development, implementation and support. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Henning spent 12 years with Web.com Group Inc., where he most recently served as Business Technology Officer & SVP, Software Engineering. The firm was acquired by private equity in October 2018 and he led the technology strategy during this transition. Throughout his tenure, he was responsible for the coordinated management and development of multiple core SaaS products, platforms and projects directed towards strategic business and organizational objectives to support growth, with revenue upward of $500 million. Mr. Henning also spearheaded the consolidation, integration and support of nine M&A portfolio acquisitions while developing and building high performance distributed teams across multiple domestic and international locations. Mr. Henning earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Wales, Cardiff.
