Bio

Dr. André Kieviet is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Hamburg. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Kieviet’s primary areas of concentration include supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, operations improvement and transformation. He has worked with clients in various industries, including automotive, industrial equipment, logistics, consumer goods, food processing, retail, oil and gas, renewables and chemicals. Dr. Kieviet’s notable assignments include a global procurement transformation project at an automotive OEM, a holistic cost reduction project for a consumer goods manufacturer focused on procurement, and a lean management introduction at an automotive OEM. Most recently, Dr. Kieviet handled an operations improvement and turnaround project at a postal operator, leading network planning and design projects to start a parcel business in Italy. Prior to joining A&M, Dr. Kieviet spent three years with FTI Consulting in Frankfurt as Senior Director in the EMEA Business Transformation practice. He supported private equity clients across the investment cycle to identify and realize operational performance improvement potentials. Dr. Kieviet started his career at automotive supplier Wilhelm Karmann in the field of logistics and production. He worked for more than six years with Accenture and Kearney in their European Operations practices and held senior management roles at CEVA Logistics and Scandferries where he was responsible for corporate services, procurement and supply chain management. Dr. Kieviet earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in industrial engineering from the University of Louisville. He is a professor in supply chain management and a member of the BME, BVL, VDI and APICS.
