Amir Zhumatov is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Transactions Group in Washington, D.C. His primary area of concentration is transaction support, with a focus on financial and accounting due diligence and deal negotiation for strategic corporate clients. Mr. Zhumatov has led domestic and international projects for corporate and private equity clients specializing in aerospace, industrial manufacturing and consumer and retail industries. He supports clients across the transaction lifecycle, including pre-acquisition due diligence, analysis of key risks and value drivers for financial forecasts and advising on sales and purchase agreements. Mr. Zhumatov’s notable recent engagements include leading sell-side due diligence on a $5 billion global consulting business and leading multi-function due diligence on a carve-out of a U.S. manufacturing business. In addition to leading engagements in industrial manufacturing space, Mr. Zhumatov has led a number of deals in the aviation industry, including due diligence of private aviation providers and aerospace startups. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Zhumatov spent nearly 13 years with Big Four accounting firms executing transactions, serving most recently as a Director. Mr. Zhumatov earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and economics from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. A Kazakhstani national, Mr. Zhumatov is fluent in Kazakh, English and Russian.
