Alex Saklow is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory Group in London. He specializes in financial due diligence for mid-market buy- and sell-side engagements for both private equity and corporate clients across a range of industries, including consumer, leisure, software and industrials. Mr. Saklow’s recent transaction experience includes vendor due diligence for Tenzing on the sale of CitNOW to Livingbridge, buy-side financial due diligence for Binderholz on its acquisition of BSW Timber Ltd from Endless, vendor due diligence for GLAS on its sale to LLCP, vendor due diligence for AEG on the disposal of its majority stake in Thames Clippers to Northleaf Capital Partners and buy-side financial due diligence for PAI Partners on their acquisitions of Addo Food Group and Wrights Food Group. Additionally, Mr. Saklow has been involved in buy-side due diligence for a private equity consortium on their take-private of Calisen plc; buy-side due diligence for KKR on the take-private of John Laing plc; vendor due diligence for MML on the disposal of Banner to CPBE; buy-side due diligence for Inchcape plc on its acquisitions of an automotive distribution and retail business in South America and the BMW retail business in Estonia; vendor assistance for Advent International on its disposal of the Connected Vehicle Solutions division of Laird to Molex; due diligence for HSBC on refinancing of a global automotive parts distributor; and vendor assistance to TRS Group on its sale to Exponent. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Saklow spent five years with KPMG, where he most recently served as Associate Director in the National Markets London Region Deal Advisory team. Previously, he spent four years in transaction services with BDO. Mr. Saklow earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Bristol. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and is a School Governor.
