Alejandro González is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement group in Madrid. He brings more than 20 years of experience. He specializes in helping companies adapt to challenging situations. His primary areas of concentrations are customer centricity, digital transformation and organizational performance. Mr. González has worked with clients across a range of industries including financial services, utilities, industrial defense, real estate and insurance. He has also supported private equity firms with their investments, leading more than 30 operational and commercial due diligence projects within the education and banking industries. Mr. González also specializes in management consulting. He has delivered more than 100 assignments across Europe, United States and Latin America. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. González spent 14 years with Arthur D. Little in its New York, Madrid and Houston offices, where he most recently served as Partner. He was in charge of the operations performance for the regions and led the global service operations improvement. Mr. González’s most notable engagements include leading a bank (25,000 employees across 7 countries) through its re-organization and new business environment by designing and building a shared service center. Previously, he worked in product development at United Parcel Services and in the construction industry as well. Mr. González is an industrial engineer with an operations major from the University Carlos III and an MBA (with honors) from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta.
