Bio

Alejandro González is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement group in Madrid and the Co-Country Head of Alvarez & Marsal Spain and Portugal. He brings more than 25 years of experience specializing on Transformation programs supporting companies to adapt to challenging situations. His primary areas of concentration are customer centricity, digital adoption and organizational performance. Mr. González has worked with clients across a range of industries including healthcare, financial services, and industrials. He has also supported private equity firms with their investments, leading multiple operational and commercial due diligence projects within a variety of industries. Mr. González also specializes in management consulting. He has delivered more than 120 assignments across Europe, United States and Latin America. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. González spent 14 years with Arthur D. Little in its New York, Madrid and Houston offices, where he most recently served as Partner. He was in charge of the operations performance for the regions and led the global service operations improvement. Mr. González’s most notable engagements include leading a bank (25,000 employees) through its re-organization building a shared service center, transformation program on operational efficiency for a large pharmaceutical company and reengineering the Front Office operations for a large Utility. Previously, he worked in product development at United Parcel Services and as Civil Engineering Project Manager. Mr. González earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering (operations major) from the University Carlos III and an MBA (honors) from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta.
