He specialises in providing financial and related due diligence services to private equity sponsors, corporates, debt providers and management, helping to create value throughout the transaction lifecycle. With more than 25 years of transaction services experience, Mr. Balcombe has worked with companies across a range of industries, including consumer and leisure, business services, healthcare, industrial and manufacturing, and aviation and transportation. He has advised on numerous private equity, corporate and bank led transactions, across the mid-market and large-cap transactions, both on the buy and sell-side, carveouts, refinancing and add on acquisitions. Prior to joining A&M, founding our European Transaction Advisory Group, Mr. Balcombe was a Private Equity Transaction Services Partner at Deloitte in London and was instrumental in building this practice between 1997 and 2008. Previously, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked at KPMG from 1989 to 1996, first within the audit practice, and later forming the first dedicated private equity transaction services practice in 1993. Mr. Balcombe earned a bachelor’s degree, with honours, in accounting and finance at Kingston University and holds a Practicing Certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
