Mercer Acquires HIT Holz

HIT Holz is a manufacturer of Euro pallets with a production site in Torgau, more than 1 million solid cubic meters of wood are processed into pallets and other wood products (including sawn timber, pellets, and briquettes) every year. The plant has an annual production and drying capacity of 18 million transport pallets. The integrated production concept, which uses 100% of the raw material wood, is unique in the packaging industry. All stages of value creation - from the procurement of the raw wood to the production and delivery of the pallets and other wood products - take place on-site in Torgau. It process the residues from the manufacturing process, such as wood bark, wood chips or sawdust, into the marketable end or intermediate products. HIT Holz was formed in 1999 and is based in Torgau, Germany.
