Itaú Unibanco S.A. Acquires Klap

Klap is a Chilean financial-technology and payment-processing company that provides digital payment acceptance solutions for physical and online commerce enabling businesses to accept debit, credit and prepaid card transactions from major schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex and UnionPay), as well as additional payment services such as bill payments, phone top-ups and multiservice transactions. Its platform includes point-of-sale (POS) terminals, mobile acceptance (Tap-Klap), e-commerce checkout integrations and payment links, and is authorised by the Central Bank of Chile and regulated by the Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (CMF). Klap is based in Santiago.
