Kyoto, Japan

ROHM Co., Ltd.'s Tantalum and Polymer Capacitor Business Assets use manganese dioxide for the cathode layer. Compared with ceramic capacitors, tantalum capacitors do not have a decrease in capacitance due to DC bias and do not produce noise because they do not have piezoelectric characteristics. Tantalum capacitors use manganese dioxide for the cathode layer. Compared with ceramic capacitors, tantalum capacitors do not have a decrease in capacitance due to DC bias. Conductive polymer capacitors use a conductive polymer for the cathode layer. Compared to manganese dioxide type tantalum capacitors, conductive polymer capacitors achieve a significantly lower ESR (equivalent series resistance). It is effective for flowing high ripple current and removing noise at high frequencies. In the event of a failure, the conductive polymer is insulated, providing a safe structure.
