Dr. Lauren Fisher joined ZMC in 2023. Lauren is responsible for talent acquisition, assessment, and development both internally at ZMC and at its portfolio companies. Prior to joining ZMC, Lauren was Head of Talent at NuMat Technologies, a VC-backed advanced materials technology company, where she led the talent sourcing and assessment strategy. During her time at NuMat Technologies, Lauren served as a trusted advisor to the CEO on all talent-related matters and people strategy initiatives, including advisement on best practices in selection, performance management, and assessment. Additionally, she worked side by side with management to build a culture of inclusion and belonging. Lauren was also formerly an executive search assessment consultant at Korn Ferry where she administered leadership assessments to senior executive candidates across several industries (e.g., real estate, financial services, consumer, professional services, non-profits, industrial) and translated those results for client decision-makers. As a licensed psychologist with more than a decade of clinical, coaching, and assessment experience, Lauren brings significant psychological expertise to her role. She began her career in private practice in NYC and provided clinical treatment and assessment within the VA hospital system. Lauren earned a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University and received an MA and BA in Psychology from Boston College.
